ok, so I gather from the articles that the standard BR when moving up a limit is 20-30 BI depending on whether it's FR or SH. what I would like to know (not sure if this is mentioned in the articles) is if it makes a difference whether you're multitabling or not. I would think that if you are running 6-8 tables as compared to 2-4 tables you would need a larger BR before you moved up? or does it not matter?

it doesn't really matter how many tables you play. As long as you're comfortable with the amount of money in play, and that you have enough bankroll to sustain a few hits, it's ok. But it's never a bad thing to be overrolled, even if it's just for confidence purposes

I was just wondering, how much money do i need to move from NL10 to NL20, and when should I return to NL10 in case of a bad downswing?

@Pygmalion

On the microlimits 20-25 Stacks should be enough in NL, since you should be able to beat these limits with the strategy here pretty good. Of course its a fact that most people will have a lower winrate when they multitable since they more tend to autoplay, because they have not enough time to think every situation through.
I personally prefer a more conservative BRM from NL50 where I only move up with 30 Stacks. From NL200 to NL400 I would move up with 35.

@Killerius
For NL20 you need at least $400 that equals 20 Stacks. You have to move down again when you have 20 Stacks (I prefer 25) from the lover limit. In your case you have to move down to NL10 again, when you´re down to $200.

I read the article, but there are no instructions for NL20, just when to go up to NL25. And i don't know if the 150$ limit includes bonus that you get from PS, or it's just 150$ of clean profit.

it recommends 150$ for NL25, that's 30 buy-ins. so about 120-150$ for NL20

I didn't want to create new thread. My question is what size bankroll should i have if i play both nl10 and 5$ hu sng's?
