Good limp preflop, when you're first into the pot you actually want other players to come in to the pot with worse hands than yours. If you raise A2 from UTG then you can fold out opponents with A4/23 etc who are going to be the people who pay you off when you hit.

I like just calling the raise, I think checkraising preflop just isolates you against other players with A2, and you're in trouble against them since they can hold hands like AAT2/AKK2/ AJ42 which all have advantage over you. Your 8 and 9 isn't very good so we're looking for a low draw/flush draw board to proceed.

Flop: Again, nice easy snap fold on this flop. We have missed the flop and potentially drawing to half the pot against AQ43 or even a quarter against AQQ2.

The two opponents can have us in a lot of trouble here, so I play the hand the same way as you here.
