This guy tends to play fairly straightforward and gives up after a missed cbet generally.

Villain stats:

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.25(BB) Replayer
Hero ($51.10)
BB ($28.38)
UTG ($9.30)
UTG+1 ($26.10)
UTG+2 ($10.07)
MP1 ($26.06)
CO ($13.63)
BTN ($25.75)

Dealt to Hero A♣ Q♣

fold, UTG+1 raises to $1, fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to $3, Hero calls $2.90, fold, fold

FLOP ($7.25) 5♣ 6♠ 3♥

Hero checks, BTN checks

TURN ($7.25) 5♣ 6♠ 3♥ A♦

Hero checks, BTN bets $3.50, Hero calls $3.50

RIVER ($14.25) 5♣ 6♠ 3♥ A♦ K♥

Hero checks, BTN bets $10.17, Hero folds

BTN wins $13.56

Folding seems quite weak here but just cant see him having anything other than AK.

Didn't 4bet this pre as I'd just have to fold to a shove from either UTG or the BU or likely play a large pot out of position given there are two players in the hand already. Is this the right line to take?

Is donking the turn a better option here?

Thanks

If you can´t call him down 2 streets after hitting tptk you should fold pf.
If you want you can 4-bet bluff that spot to 7$ and put maximum pressure against BU middle pp-s, but if you don´t think he would 3-bet bluff too often then just fold pf.
