I'm really interested in Mtt's at the moment but not sure if an 18 player sng is really an mtt ? at which point does the strategy begin to change from SnG to mtt ?

An 18-man SnG is an MTsng
A 180 man SnG is also an MTsng.

Sit'n'goes are named such as they start when they fill and end when one man is left.

MTTs are Scheduled Multi-table Tournaments.

They have a fixed and set time when they begin, and often late registration, which is not available for an SnG, which has a max amount of players set for when to start, and run until over.
Some MTTs are two-day events, for example most large WCOOP events.
Where they both days have scheduled starts.

Hopefully this helps

Regards,
Richard

Yes you shouldn't really say MTT and SNG.
It's SNG and Scheduled, and MTT and STT.

There are 18, 45 and 180man SNGs that are both SNGs and MTTs.
