Preflop: Hero is BU with A♠, 9♣
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.12, SB folds, BB calls $0.08.

Flop: ($0.26) 8♦, 7♥, 6♥ (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.17, BB raises to $0.60, Hero calls $0.43.

Turn: ($1.46) A♣ (2 players)
BB bets $1, Hero folds.

I got myself into a bit of a mess in this hand! Was this an understandable fold or not? Something didn't feel right to me, as dumb as that sounds!

First problem with this hand is your playing HU at nl4. Theres so much rake its not a profitable move. Hmm for the hand I think I would ship since theres a lot of draws there and you do have an open ender, it looks like a really strong line

Hello Ghartman,

Rather Bet/Fold it right on flop for the fact that you could be already pretty much drawing dead if he has some kind of strong made hand. Might at the best just Call for the split. Most likely with 1card FD you will rarely get paid for your implied odds.

Best Regards.
