I would make a continuation bet on the flop why you checked ? You have a nut flushdraw after all .And a very strong pair. You checked and you showed weakness. You were afraid of the A ? If he called your contibet you should think :

1)He has an A and won t leave the hand
2)He has a J and want to see the turn quite cheap (usually a calling station would do that).
3)He has a flush or a flushdraw.
4)Maybe a set on the flop but think he would bet that afraid of the possible flush with one card.

In case 1 you are beaten.
In case 2 you are beaten on the turn.
In case 3 you are beaten on the river if he had a flush. If he had a flushdraw i don t think he would bet against you if he didn t hit anyrhing and had only the flushdraw on the river.
So in all cases you know were you are. After all you are in position.
I don t know the stats of the player so i can t get a whole image of his style.
In case 4 you are beaten on the turn no matter what.

Check at flop = wrong
All in raise at river with this board = wrong

Imo ... :]

Nah totally agree mate. I wasn't thinking at all :f_cry: such a terribly played hand. I don't even know why i posted it in here.

to be honest, i didn't even notice the A :f_eek:

My thought process was: give him a flush, give me the moniez.

managed to change my mindset and have a positive session.

Hello gxtwo,

Well, I'd ask why do you in first place raise so small preflop? But as played most likely against pot size bet on the turn I'd just give it up. We can't be even sure that we have any implied odds there. :(

River is totally overplayed...

Best Regards.
