Hello , I`m kinda scared if my account can be closed for this. When I wasnt playing on pokerstars my brother asked me if I can deposit for him, and so I did. Now that I`m playing on stars I use the same credit card. We both have our IDs checked and I can prove that the credit card is mine. Also I agreed for letting him deposit from my card , not that he stole it. Thanks

Hi angalius,

I think the best course of action here is to contact PokerStars and let them know the situation. I say this because if you contact them first, they will likely be more lenient towards you and your brother.

As long as everything has been verified at least you have been upfront about the situation.

Let us know how you get on,

Best wishes,
Gary

Pokerstars is a great poker room in any area. :)

I can confirm that as said already by Holly that if you contact them it will be the best action to do! ;)

Best of luck angalius,

PokerStars have tightened their security since Black Friday and it would only have been a matter of time before they uncovered your situation.

Let's hope you get a positive result here.

Keep us posted,
Gary

this has happened to me before although in a different room. they asked me to upload certain documents of proof as well as to write authorization letter stating that i allowed person B to use my card/ewallet. it turned out fine in the end, although of course you just need to be a little patient with the whole process of correspondence and uploading required documents.

that said, Stars is probably the strictest room out there so i cannot guarantee they will respond the same. let us know how you get on.

smiles,
wendy

Got and e-mail this morning

In regards to using someone else’s Credit card to make a deposit, please note that we understand sharing cards is a common thing to do. However, we do not encourage it since if the owner of the card has any issues, either with the card or their PokerStars account, you would also be affected.

Sweet , guess it will be okay afterall.
