Hello!
Ever since Fulltilt closed I've been playing on iPoker, getting 55% rakeback. But the software is just terrible, and I don't think I'm gonna be able to take it much longer. So if Fulltilt isn't back by January, I'm thinking about moving to stars.
I hate VIP reward programs, much prefer just standard RB, but since there are no other options I guess I'll just have to suck it up. The thing is, I have no idea how this works. And reading about it on stars' website on 2p2 doesn't help me either, so I figured, I'd just ask a very specific question.
My plan is to play 100nl 6max, starting from January. I haven't played on stars before, so I'd be starting as a Bronze star (?). I hope I can manage 120k hands a month for 12 months, so I'll just use these numbers.
So I used this http://www.pokerstars.com/vip/calculator/
put in the numbers and got this:
VPPs/Day
1,433VPPs/Week
10,030VPPs/Month
42,984YOUR 2011 VIP REWARDS: $500
YOUR 2012 VIP REWARDS: $40,800
Can anyone who has actually used the stars VIP system, or is playing similar stakes volume there, can answer these questions:
1. Is the calculator about right?
2. Do I actually have to play this year, or will I still get the $40k if I start on January starting from zero?
3. How do I get the 40k, do I get it all at the end of the year or some other way?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
