I think I played this correctly but was my bet on the flop necessary? And if it was do you think it is too much? I'm probably going broke here either way.

I had 50.2% equity going all-in but against a range of QQ,55,33,AQs,AcKc,AcJc,AcTc,Ac9c,Ac8c,Ac7c,Ac6c,Ac5c,Ac4c,Ac3c,Ac2c,AQo,AcKd,AcKh,AcKs,AcJd,AcJh,AcJs,AcTd,AcTh,AcTs. I have 45% equity.

Hello 0744379,

Seems to be fine and I wouldn't change much here anyways. Just got unlucky and don't be result oriented! Keep going the A-game!

You can as well just Check the flop but obviously Betting is totally fine as well. With Checking you let him bluff with some weak hands which he could be calling with.

Best Regards.

Say if I checked and he checked behind and the 4th club came on the turn, I would probably make a similarly large bet which would commit me. But if I made a smaller bet and got re-raised could I get away considering he is unlikely to get it in with the J of clubs

Well, most likely I wouldn't even Bet the turn if another comes. But rather let him bluff maybe then. :) He will have hard time calling with worse.
