Good fold with AK?

Ive noticed that I have alot of issues with AK and am trying to figure out how I can tip the scales with this hand towards +EV - advice is welcome

player is 11/8 with 1% 3 bet

IPoker, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 8 Players

UTG+2: $10.55 (105.5 bb)
MP1: $9.54 (95.4 bb)
MP2: $3.90 (39 bb)
Hero (MP3): $10 (100 bb)
CO: $19.56 (195.6 bb)
BTN: $10.15 (101.5 bb)
SB: $4 (40 bb)
BB: $11.31 (113.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K A
2 folds, MP2 raises to $0.30, Hero raises to $0.90, 4 folds, MP2 raises to $3.90 and is all-in, Hero folds

Results: $1.95 pot
MP2 mucked and won $1.95 ($1.05 net)

I think you did the right thing by folding. Against even a 20/15 player I think I'd just shove considering his stack isn't huge.

I don't like the line of 3 bet/fold because then it becomes a bluff bet. I think you either decide to just call or fold before the 3bet really. He's most likely only betting premium hands from this position anyways. If it were a raise from CO or BU then a 3-bet becomes a more profitable choice.

Most likely I wouldn't even 3bet in first place here vs such an opponent. Since we have to 3bet fold it very often. We would need here ~37% equity and for example against a range of QQ+:

       Equity     Win     Tie
UTG    69.14%  68.77%   0.38% { QQ+ }
UTG+1  30.86%  30.48%   0.38% { AKo }

We ain't getting it, so therefore folding isn't bad. But the question is if we really should even 3bet here? But of course it's fine, calling would be the worst option anyways.
