Have played on several platforms in the past few years and have not seen one South African, perhaps many sites are not accessible from SA?

I played on Full Tilt, Titan, Pokerstars, 888, Party Poker and Cake all from South Africa. Not much volume though :f_frown:

As far as I'm aware from speaking to friends back there it's only piggs peak that has blocked users with a South African IP - they are still playing on stars etc

The fact that it's now illegal is a whole other debate...

Thanks for replies. Yes piggs peak poker has blocked all south african players but silversands still allows south african players. They basically target sa players and the currency they have on silversands is on south african rand.

Ive also noticed that basically all microgaming sites have banned sa players aswell as some ongame sites. This is not looking good for sa players but my question is if you reside in a different country surely you can play on a site thats blocked sa players as youre not playing within the borders of south africa. Im a bit confused about all this and just wish the government would get their ass in gear and legalize it already.

To answer youre question darrenrudolph Im a micro stakes grinder playing mostly on pokerstars and william hill, playing between 60-80k hands per month.

I miss the juicy tables of piggs peak X(

Hey guys!

I have seen some SA players on party and 888!

I'm not a South African, wish I was :(

I have "lived" in Pinelands, Cape Town for a year as an exchange student though. Really miss SA!!!

When I have the money I go back as soon as I can!!

Dont worry samwise, you will still be able to play in South Africa.
Im from Cape Town, SA.
We still allowed to play on the major sites.
Silversands operates in Rands, targets South African players,
and process transactions daily through 3 of the biggest banks in SA.

Thanks!

But is it "legal" to play on Pokerstars? When I use my own (Dutch) account and use Pokerstars --> Moneybookers for cashing out.

All i can help you with is that you will be able to play here.
Cause I live here and can. If it were illegal then i wouldnt be allowed.
