I would check/fold. Everything has gotten there on the River and you won't be getting another bet from a worse hand and no better hand is folding. The times you get called by KT or T6 are way too few to justify betting. If you think he's unreasonable you could consider check/calling but betting is not an option.
Yes, I preferred c\c and he showed 7 :club:2 :club:. I had doubts about betting because it could be smth like negative freeroll but then I thought he seemed to be passive so he could check back medium strength holdings and his bet might be polarized. And yes, too few worse hands would call here.
Nice Flopcall by him and the times you might get called by worse Tx you'll induce way more otften a checkbehind from a single jack that will certainly call a bet. And he could also check back with Q3 or some weak toppair kind of hand because the board looks scary and he doesn't think at all about your range and plays just his cards and the board etc.
