Fold the flop. You have a very weak hand and no idea on the turn if you are ahead or behind, even if you hit a full house.

Because of this you will not get any value from the opponent when you are ahead and the times you are behind, you will most often end up putting a lot of money into the pot calling villain's bets.

You see the problem is....

You can't limp on your button because it telegraphs what you have (you would never limp with AA/KK/QQ/JJ after CO limps, and you would never limped with double suited rundowns so your hand is exactly what I would think, some junky 2 card hand, maybe a suited ace with crap sidecards or a small pair that you're being speculative with.

You certainly can't raise your hand preflop, because it's just way too weak to be able to play with post flop. Ultimately what you have is 2 holdem hands in an Omaha game.

Let's not mention there are very few good flops when you hit 2 pair (like this one). You're going to be folding the flop way too much, even when you hit.

Don't play a hand you can't raise preflop. In a 6 max game, unless there are a very specific set of circumstances (like a maniac to your left), never ever limp.

Tables average at this limit has VP$P > 50% (loose passive preflop) and if I fold such hand OTB, then I guess I will be playing < 20% on the button.

And how about [A7][54] or [87][64] ? Should I fold preflop? I think your reasons are valid also for the hands (CMIIW)

To address the idea of button limping:

A764 is okay, A754 I don't like.

8764 is a huge improvement.

Basically I want hands where I either hit a straight and have a redraw (either to a higher straight or a flush) because this is the only way stacks go in when limping preflop.

So straight 1 gappers need to be at the bottom and flush draws need to be to the nuts. I am not playing these hands to hit 2 pair, so if the flop comes K87 and I have 8764 then I am just check/folding in that spot. Even if the flop is 872 in a game where nobody folds flopping top 2 with no draw is nothing to get excited about.
