TURN ($44.50) T♣ A♣ 8♥ J♠

BB checks, Hero bets $33.50, CO raises to $159 (AI), BB folds, ,Hero?

This hand was played at the anon. tables on MG, so I have no stats, and at this point I hadn't been able to gather any reads besides noticing that I was up agaisnt a fish (had been limping and stuff..).

In order to call here I need to be good around 35% of the time.

Bräda: T♣A♣8♥ J♠
       Equity   Vinst  Oavgjort
MP2    30.40%  24.15%     6.25% { AhJh }
MP3    69.60%  63.35%     6.25% { TT, 88, AJs-ATs, Q9s, AJo-ATo, Q9o }

If he is raising another set of combos of twopair I can profitably call:

Bräda: T♣A♣8♥ J♠
       Equity   Vinst  Oavgjort
MP2    40.67%  35.41%     5.26% { AhJh }
MP3    59.33%  54.07%     5.26% { TT, 88, AJs-ATs, A8s, Q9s, AJo-ATo, A8o, Q9o }

But this spot really really sucks. I guess we have to use some kind of framework of how loosely fish in general goes brooke here and stick to it.

So all it comes to down here is how loose do you think the average fish would go brooke here?

I just noticed that 97 also has a straight on the turn, and I think at least that it would be reasonable to assume that 97s is in our villains range here, and then our equity decreases by 3% for each calculation.

wow this sucks.

You've kind of already analysed this one perfectly. If he is chk/shoving any semi-bluffs at all then we're getting paid to make a nice call, if he jams for pure value then we're under it vs his range.

The problem is we have no idea whatsoever if he IS jamming those semi-bluffs or not.

I think i'd instinctively fold here, you say he's been limping around and stuff so the chances are he's actually playing quite passively - like i said in another thread these are the guys we really want them calling us and life kinda sucks if they start raising and we dont have the nuts
