i was in a similar situation with KK: BU bet 0.35, i bet 1.10
a friend said i should have raised to 1.50 to make the range for his call smaller.
is that correct?

Either way, it's surprising if a player at NL10 folded an overpair, I'd say he's more likely to have AT or AQ, but either way....

As for 3-betting pf I'd think that 3x the initial raise is a minimum, and anymore than that is dependent on reads and/or stats you have on villain. With KK for example, whether you r/r $1.20 or $1.50 to a $.35 raise doesn't seem to be too important at this limit as Villain is likely to call with AT+, most PPs, sometimes suited connectors. He'll re-push often with JJ+/AK, so your post-flop play will be dependent on whether an Ace comes, or if villain hits a set...

At NL10 with an overpair it's pretty much push/fold regardless, IMO

I call the raise and c/c or c/rai the turn depending on the stack sizes. We go broke against any set, but we want more money from worse pockets or bluffs.
