PokerStars - $0.25/$0.50 (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players

UTG: $7.00
Hero (CO): $9.65
BTN: $5.69
SB: $1.50
BB: $11.59

SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero has T♣ A♥

fold, Hero raises to $0.50, BTN calls $0.50, SB raises to $0.75, fold, Hero calls $0.25, BTN calls $0.25

Flop: ($2.50, 3 players) 8♣ 3♦ 8♦
SB bets $0.25, Hero raises to $0.50, BTN calls $0.50, SB raises to $0.75 and is all-in, Hero calls $0.25, BTN calls $0.25

My line on the preflop considering the flop action doesn't make much sense. I see myself ahead of short stack so it would be better to cap preflop & then this flop play could make much more sense.

Turn: ($4.75, 3 players) 5♠
Hero ?

3way we're aheah of short stack but what to do with BTN? His coldcall may mean FD, 8x, Ax, PP. And the money we may put into the pot will be taken into consideration only between us. But if I force him out of the pot with his 6+ outs (he may actually fold somth like QJ with BDFD if he peels it on the flop) then it's a good spot to win the whole pot. What would you suggest?

I think you played it well. The flop is quite good for your hand and SB could have a lot. He's almost all in and those guys tend to mess around with their last money. You may think resultoriented due to the fact that Button did coldcall but there is actually no option but doing the isolationraise on the flop. Button has most of the time just nothing. He could have coldcalled with a lot hands being behind against AT.

He could just have a few better hands in case he coldcalled with 44 55 etc but the other times he doesn't have these pp's you are ahead against him. His coldcall looks like trips or a flushdraw or maybe overcards as well? If the Turn blanks you could bet out and fold to a raise as he won't raise when the pot is protected through SB. Cap Preflop is viable as well but as played it's ok. As i said i do see button either having trips or 33 or something or a flushdraw. Most of the times rather a flushdraw. 5 is a blank. Try to charge him for his draw or make him fold a hand like Q♦J♠
