[Closed] The mission to install elephant

After me and 2 computer engineers spending 3-4 hours trying to install elephant I gave up. I Decided not to waste anymore time on it. Now however I pretty much need software to help my game improve.

So I rebooted my computer to factory settings, and decided to post the problems as I get them. I am now getting a VC++ redistributables installation failed error message. I didn't get this first time round and again i'm getting frustrated. I tried to install this seperatly and i'm getting the same message.

Can someone please help me with this first problem?

Thx
Stiev

Download the stand alone version of elephant and install other programs seperatly. I had the same problem :)

Read my post again. You obviously never read it thoroughly.

First of all, I did read it through. I know you wrote that you installed the VC++ seperatly, but even if you did and you are still trying to install the elephant with all the other programs and not the stand alone version it will show an error.

Is that what you meant?

He couldn't install VC++. :)

Just to be sure. You installed this version:

?

Can you post more about your system? Windows version and language maybe? I think that galam will have a look here later and this might speed everything up a bit. :)

Np, I almost threw my laptop out the window when I first tried to install it. I'm just kind of embarrassed that I actually managed to read your post wrong, twice

found a few different VC++ and they dont install. I sent an email to the site with the error code. They basically laughed at me, and dont know what the problem is.

Looks like this installation is a lost cause, fallen at the first hurdle.

where do I go from here? Just give up on the whole elephant? Is there an site that gives PT as some kind of promotion? A site that wont take the promotion away 1 week before I earn it, without notice?

I'm sorry but I'm not developer so all I can do is writing what I think might help. The only one that knows about this is galam but I think he doesn't work at weekend. I don't know why he hasn't replied in here yet but I hope that he does so on monday.

Its been 5 days. It seems everything that is said and promised fucks up somewhere along the line. Then you get left with jack shit!!!

Well I can stop posting here too....

Have you tried this VC++ version:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=200b2fd9-ae1a-4a14-984d-389c36f85647&displaylang=en

I read that it helped a few peoples.
