Important security info... I think... [Mod edit: Regarding 2+2 forums]

Dear Two Plus Two Members,

On April 26th at approximately 11:20 AM pacific time, the Two Plus Two Forums were closed as a result of a hacker who has displayed the ability to access e-mail addresses and encrypted passwords. He also indicated the ability to decrypt passwords.

While it is unclear the extent of data to which he gained access, e-mail addresses and passwords on the Two Plus Two forums should be considered compromised. If you have used your 2+2 password on any other site, you are advised to change it.

For your security, we are closing the forums until the breach is patched. Upon reopening the forums you will be forced to change your password – it is counterproductive to do so now.

We hope to be back up as soon as possible.

Best,
Two Plus Two Interactive

Should it ultimately matter in the sense that the RSA token wins the day? I mean presumably this is the reason they try to hack our passwords....

Yeah spent an hour changing passwords, very tedious. I barely used the site so I couldn't remember which one of my passwords I used on it which meant all my passwords had to change. Fun.

Then when I'd finished that I went to play some cards on poker770 and am informed that "your account has been temporarily suspended".

Rather ominous timing although I'm hoping that it's to do with some ID check or something, given that I only registered there on wednesday.

Any poker player who doesn't use Keypass is just asking to be stolen from. If you had been using it you wouldn't have had to do anything except delete the 2+2 email that was sent out.
