FLOP
Villains bet is really weak, looks more like a check. Most likely he`s got a club in his hand. By raising here, it`s a must double barrel on any non-club turn.

Or should I give up on the turn unimproved?

I assume that you are raising the flop for thin value and protecion against Xc hands.

Bluffing him out wouldn't be my first idea. I just have to ask what worse hands are going to call.
Even against a hand like QxJc or QcJx, we are 50%.
That's minimum what I think he has there or close.

We're up against flip or better, so I fold.
I would rather value bet (in this case raise) board like K54 two-tone.

Correctomundo! But he`s never folding a club. Folding on the flop seems too weak for me, but definately is not a mistake.

Actually, I never expect him to fold on the flop. Question is, what to do on the non-club turn.
Maybe just check and hope for a free SHD.

Folding is 0EV.
Betting vs. strong range is about 0EV or worse, when I said, that hand like QxJc or QcJx, we are 50%.
All the other hands would pairs, which is better than our hand - like 8c8s

Equity Win Tie
MP2 13.64% 13.64% 0.00% As9s
MP3 86.36% 86.36% 0.00% 8s8c

We are f**ked, so fold pls. ;)

Hello dienaszaglis,

Not really the greatest flop to take the initiative back while also being against super loose opponent. I'd rather just let him have the pot and we will have enough of better spots rather than trying to overplay a station. :)

Best Regards.
