Glad to see you decided to start your own blog!
Blogs are great for keeping track of your personal progress in my opinion.

About the poker: Who hasn't taken a rageshot at higher stakes to recoup losses at one point or another(and another.. and another.., don't take BRM advice from me if I'm offering personal opinions, stick to our standard material!), the important thing is to learn from it, once is OK if it cements the knowledge that "This was how NOT to do BRM.."

Returning to the personal staff, I'm very happy to hear you prioritize studies over play, there'll be plenty of time to invest in poker after the exams are over! Keep us updated on how you do in them.

Will be following for sure.

floated the flop with A high showdown value and backdoor FD, when he 1/5 of the pot he like never has much of a hand, so i raised the turn which is just called, when he checks the river hes never got a queen here, so i shoved, as its pretty hard for him to call without a 7, Q and like at least an 8 and obviously 44 is a snap call haha ahh i love 888

TBH never bothered in HU cash but have played a few HU Hyper-Turbos. Variance was sick though. Prefer 6max or FR.

888 should be fairly fishy so hope to see plenty of rising giraffes!

Agh yeah variance can be a bitch, one of the games eariler I was playing some massive fish and got him down to 200 chips, then he won 3 all ins in a row and I lost, that's how it goes haha

Managed to sqeeze 25 games into today, up a few BI, cant wait to move to stars 888 rake is absurd for hyper turbos, $3+0.2 for 888, $3.4+0.1 for stars, massive difference, even the $7 hypers have less rake....

You play on 888 ? I think everyone who´s serious about hypers plays on Stars. Correct me if I´m wrong but the rake is significantly higher there. In hypers you have very small edge anyway, e.g. winning 54% of matches and you can consider yourself world elite.

I´d really recommend you to move on Stars or the rake will eat you alive

nope your 100% right, im currently in the process of moving to stars, ive took half my BR out of 888 eariler today, which will take 4/5 days to get to skrill and then deposit that and stars and withdraw the rest from 888, its only so i can play in the mean time.

The rake is double what it is on stars for a smaller buy in its complete ridiculous, like today without rake i was up 3BI, with rake i was only up just above 1, but i have the FDB on 888 which im not gunna bother clearing but thats given me rakeback so meh, suppose just have to look on the bright side their most of the people are fishes even though half the people i play are regs

Variance hates me today, what can I expect from playing Hypers but i lost every all in pot, ahead, behind, whatever, set ups, suck outs etc... hopefully tomorrow will prove better

After my losing steak played another like 35 on top of that and was running slightly better, re coupes some loses ad obviously generated some nice rake

Got my first exam at uni in an hour, quantative methods for business, exciting... Agh well should alright

One question though, you said you tilted after losing a couple of BI's and then went to nl25 to waste some more money. Are you mentally ready for these hypers? Well it's your call of course but I wouldn't be able to keep my cool with that sick variance!

Secondly: You play on 888poker? I want my money back!! I play there as well. nl6 SH and nl10 SH.

Hey ras ♦ thanks buddy, I was playing SH at 888, i wont be there for much longer the rake is so sick for the hypers, its more than DOUBLE stars, im only here untill i the other half of my BR coming into skrill so i can depo on my stars account ♦ meh i hope it was just a one time thing because i dont usually tilt but we ll see i guess
