the only reason i would bet half pot on the river would be to stop him from potting the river with lets say the J high flush.

i always fold on a river raise unless ive seen my opponent overplay a set of aces on a 3 flush board or such...

with only half of a buyin I'd just fold preflop. your hand is very speculative, and these kind of hands require deep stacks, multiway action and implied odds.
