Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $2(BB) Replayer
SB ($229)
BB ($197)
Hero ($203)
UTG+1 ($225)
CO ($240)
BTN ($239)

Dealt to Hero J♦ K♦

Hero raises to $6, fold, fold, BTN calls $6, SB raises to $25, fold, fold, Hero?

villain (SB): 22/18 - 300 hands
15% squeeze (35)

BTN: 52/8 fish

How loose are you calling in this spot pre?

I tend to fold a lot here, probably waaaay too much. The reg is probably aware that he can squeeze the fish pretty loose for value, so with that in mind what range would you call here?

Just fold, although he is squeezing, he is squeezing vs UTG and sizing is normal/largish so I would just fold, too many reverse implieds and btn can have some good hands too that he chose to not 3bet pre for balance reasons.

Think this is quite standard line.

We could 4b bluff but the pot is already bloated with his large sizing, if it was btn vs sb vs bb then I think calling is ok and we do well vs a lot of his q9s kind of hands that he can likely be squeezing.

Ok, so btn vs BB, same opponents, what range would call here?

I wud def call if i was on the btn. From utg its obv different but i think i still call expecting fish to come along and therefore sb playing very honestly post flop.

I have a question for pleno, though, if you are sb and say utg is a reg who opens 18% utg with a 60% fold to 3bet, what range do u squeeze here?

like pleno says too many reverse implied's and a little danger not closing the action to just call. Really don't like 4betting here because we don't get much of a price and we get flatted (admittedly not all that often but still) by a mostly dominating range.

That just leaves fold, which sucks cos our hand is lovely but we'll get dealt it again soon dw :)
