I placed this in the tournaments strategy thread, where it will likely get more attention.

There is no rake charged when you rebuy, and when you add-on, so the full amount goes into the prize pool.

In some tournaments, on your first rebuy, you can rebuy up to a double-sized stack.

I see some players overdoing this though, and playing recklessly just because they can throw more money in.

Example:
If the original buy-in is $1.00 + 0.10 and you get 3000 chips, on the first rebuy, you can get 6000 chips for $2.00 -- not $2.20
