[Closed] NL50 SSS- Set on the flop after doublig up- what should you do?

When playing SSS you hardly ever call. Preflop you simply never call.
Your in MP3, so it's actually a fold, but if you really want to play it, you should just make a normal raise.
When he raises you preflop, you should fold.
If you hit your set on the flop, it's easy: bet flop/turn/river.
Unless you have a extremely good read on him that he will bet no matter what.
I would just bet 2/3 pot on that flop and try to be all-in on the river

2) You don't have enough implied odds to call here. Remember the rule 'call20'? It says you can call a pf raise on a set value only if your stack will be 20 times bigger than the raise amount. Here you get only a 'call10' which is way less than you need. In such a case you HAVE to stack him every time you hit your set - and this is pretty hard to achieve.

Also, with 77 you would like rather to raise this one first in from mp3 than openlimp which is quite a weak play. You can, however limp if there are limpers before you.

On the flop you did well. Donkbetting nearly always means loosing value.

I don't think I've ever read this "call20" thing with SSS, I've only seen it with BSS so far..

Yeah, quite normal cause there's nothing about call20 in sss articles ;). It's a rule that is profitable with any type of no limit strategy - it just has lot wider application in bss because of the size of your stack.

And why is it profitable? You're calling pf with low pocket pair only if there are limpers before and you have sufficient (call20) odds. It means you can call only single bb with normal, 20bb stack.

Chances of hitting a set on the flop are 11%, so you hit a set every once in 9 times. If you stack your oponent every time you hit a set, it's profitable to call pf when your stack's only 9 times larger than the raise. Since you cannot assume that scenario to be true, it's widely recomended to call only if the raise is 20 times lower than your stack.
