Pre-flop: ($1.50, 2 players) Hero is BTN Q♦ 7♠
Hero calls $0.50, BB checks

Flop: 6♦ 7♥ 7♦ ($2, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.50, BB bets $6.50, Hero bets $16, BB calls $11

Turn: A♥ ($37, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $27.50, BB bets $55, Hero ?

I played ton of hands with this guy and at this point of the hand his hand is obvious to me
its a draw at least 8 outs
i have no clue though how his minraise interacts with a strength of his draw
The opponent is midtilting
What should i do on the turn, given that information?

I can't see him not raising pocket 6's since its HU. and he would probably raise with any ace considering he is also tilting. I would push.

Nobody can judge this hand. We have way too few information and this can be anything, a fold, a call or a push.

How did you get so deep? Why did you start limping the button? Which hands did he play aggressively? What was the general dynamic (3-betting? Why is he tilted? What do you think he thinks of you at that point? etc.)

yeah, that's a long story)
that's why i put it into one question
how should I play, given that my opponent has 8+ draw and capable of doing random aggressive moves)

but from his perspective, probably he thinks i have 6x
but I don't really think he did a lot of evaluation here

another thing I know is if I push, he'll fold weaker draws (oesd, weak fd) and call stronger combos

I agree with that he probably thinks you got a six. But even without reads I can't him on a flush draw or pocket sixes. and I would certainly not fold my hand against him. But usually in HU you tend to play any hands, + he is the BB.

this is a strong hand for HU.

Just my opinion, ignore it if you find it useless. Just based off my own experience.

Well.. the answer to that is easy, reraise the turn and get as much money in as possible because you are ahead.

But you can't be sure (can you?) that he has a draw, that's why I asked these questions.

I also don't understand why he should think you have 6x. Im not sure if you would play 6x this way. 7x, an overpair or a big draw are more likely holdings in your case.

But it's still hard to answer given the action. You are 300bb deep and you've got trips. If he is really tilted and might overplay Ax or a flushdraw, get it in. But if he is still kind of reasonable, your kicker isnt the best and you have to think about, that he has to stack of with a worse 7 for 300bb.

This might also be a fold vs. some guys, if you recognize some betting patterns. Very often, at low stakes, people min-checkraise with nut-type hands but raise really big with medium hands to "protect".
It makes also no sense for him to play a draw like this on the turn. Why should he open the betting action with almost no foldequity this deep?

Well, as I said, I played a lot with him
he is Nl 100 regular and I reviewed a lot of hands with him
I knew he wouldn't play his 7 like that and he clicked check/fold button (at least checked instantly) and never checked a monster when I limped before (preflop)
Moreover, I brought this hand to the showdown, so I know it for sure)

The main reason why I got confused on the turn, is the high probablity of huge river bets, if i call turn
And the problem is that i would likely have to call this bet, even in a very tough spot...
So I played this hand really badly I think and put myself in extremely tough river spot.

Turn: A♥ ($37, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $27.50, BB bets $55, Hero calls $27.50

River: J♦ ($147, 2 players)
BB bets $147, Hero calls $147

Final Pot: $440
BB shows: 8♣ 9♦
Hero shows: Q♦ 7♠

I also don't understand why he should think you have 6x. Im not sure if you would play 6x this way. 7x, an overpair or a big draw are more likely holdings in your case.

As I said, at this point of the match, I don't think he is concentrated on playing strategic poker.

I'll never fold on the river, but I also don't raise. His c/minR typically means a) a bluff or b) a very strong hand like trips or better. As bluffs won't call you and you may run into better trips or a boat, I call.

@Sebra Why I think he has a draw

I watched decent amount of crunners and stoxp hu vidz, so my intention was to pick up a known opponent (I have 4 aliases, so he shouldn't had recognized me) and get some practical knowledge
I was limping fair amount of buttons from the start (Hands like K4o, Q6o, etc mixing with different hands occasionally)
At the beginning he tried to raise a lot, but after i brought him to the couple deep shit spots, he shuts down and the rest of the limped pots where like
I limp, he calls
he checks, i bet, he folds
1% of the time he bets himself, i fold
The match was rather long, around 1k hands, so we had tons of spots like this one

In this hand, he was on autofold, so it narrows his range pretty much
he can't have an overpair, it must be either a 7x, draw or combo (Like) 6x5d
and from the history I knew for sure, that either he is overthinking me on "what do you think your opponent thinks you have" level or he has a draw
never ever he will play his strong made hand like that 2x cr

about the river raise
he has like $60 left
i wasn't even thinking about a reraise

but now i think it could have some sense

and about bluff
it couldn't be bluff 99% (on turn)
he is simply not capable of

simple stuff like c/r, float, 2 barrels
but given the action and history, i would never expect him to hold a total trash in this spot
