Analyzing bizarre hands like this isn't easy. Somehow, the opponents play makes sense to them. I bet that your opponent was sure he managed to get one small bet extra out of you, and felt good about it.

Given that he did slowplay AK preflop, he probably can continue slowplaying it on some flops (like this one). Inducing bluffs has some value from his point of view, since the pot is small.

On the other hand, if slowplaying TPTK on the flop is in his reportoire, then he needs to be bluffing too. In particular, he must bluff some on the turn and river. Wether he understands this is another question.

I would raise for value preflop. We're doing pretty good against their hands, probably 50% equity and against 2 opponents thats a solid edge.

As played I would fold to the turn raise. I can understand your decision to check the flop and bet the turn since its hard to get value on the flop except against draws and on the turn its unlikely we're behind given that they've both checked.

However, once we get raised we're looking to invest 2BB to show down a very marginal hand in an extremely small pot. I like a fold to the raise because in these spots I don't think players are bluffing often enough, and bluffing is actually quite expensive so folding here might not really make us exploitable.

Showing down might be fine but we would need to look very closely at your turn betting range. Simply put, if we're rarely playing better hands in this way then folding our strongest hands will turn out to be exploitable.

That said, I think we'll have a lot of Qx hands and thats going to make these PP's a small part of our range.His bluff attempt probably needs to work 40% of the time which is a stretch to be sure.

Yap raise preflop.88 is a very strong hand especially once nobody showed any sign of a better pocket.

Flop I like the check and decide after.Even just c/f is totally fine however I can see myself c/c sometimes.Not terrible is also to bet and hope to win,problem is only that there are worse hands that will call you and then you may have a hard time OOP in small pot.

Turn bet is bad though. Pot is now really small,protection of no importance and very little value in your hand.My line is to check and very likely call a bet.They showed no signs of having a better hand so Im quite pleased with inducing.

As played its a must fold to a raise...like datsmahname said you will pay 2 bets into pot of 6 so you have hope he spews quite often(not realistic imo)

I think if we decide to check/fold 8s here then we should at least examine how often we're folding when we check on the flop. From this we need to decide whether or not we're opening ourselves up to being exploited. Then we need to decide if we actually have enough reasons to think that making an exploitative/exploitable adjustment is correct. If this is not correct then theres a problem.
