I think you have to call river because he should bet turn with 8xxx to protect from FDs and there are a lot of busted draws in his range which he can bet after you checked behind turn.

You played it fine, all the straight draws busted.

The only time you can fold this river is if villain is passive and unlikely to bluff you here. Calling or folding comes down to a personal read in this case, but without a read I am always calling the river bet.
