I think you're missing out on a lot of value by just flatting preflop. I think in today's games reg vs reg you can get it in with 99 here very very profitably.

Flop is standard. Turn is standard. As played I think we underrep our hand pretty heavily, and if he has blankish ace highs he can turn them into bluffs on the river. I would call.

Chenny, can you say an exemplary range, which a reg can 4bet(push), if hero 3bet him without history in this spot.

Hm it's not so much the 4bet range we need to look at, but more the opening range. This is because it's tough to feel exactly what level our opponent is on, and how wide they perceive our range. However if we assume our opponents open a tight range of around 15% UTG, 2 things can happen:

1. Our opponent 4betshoves too much of his range, we make a large profit 3bet/calling from getting it in good.
2. Our opponent 4betshoves too few hands of his range, we make a large profit 3bet/calling from fold equity.

But when we don`t know, how wide our opponent 4bet, our 3bet can be profitable, but we can make a mistake when we call, because villain can 4bet very tight range and we don`t have pot odds to call him.

What do you think, we can only focus to the opening range and make our decisions based on it. Because we can`t know exactly the 4 bet ranges of villain in any situations. And when we make a mistake with calling a push(after we are 3betting), this mistake will be very small.

absolutely, then what happens is we make way too much from his folds for it to worry us when he has it. now if we have a VERY GOOD IDEA of what his 4bet range is we can start catering our range to fit this better. For example: if he 4bets way too tight then we 3bet 0 value hands (call every value hand) and 3bet every other hand 32o+
