What's the optimal winning strategy in sit n go tournaments with 30 players in it? I found that it's not like a 10 player sit n go. Should i play it like a MTT? Please help me!

Hi, FarligeJohn!

Welcome to our discussion forums.

I will just move your thread to the MTT section as SnG covers MT SnGs up to 27-man. I am sure you can get valuable and helpful advices there.

Good luck!

No way. if you play well postflop you can play few more hands then in STT because there are much more bad players then in STT which easily gives all stack but it's still not worth to go broke in marginal situations early in a tournament. But if you don't play well postflop you can play tight in the begining of up to 45 man s & G;s i think. And when blinds goes up most answers you will get in S&G wizzard. Before final table look at chipEV and on the final table play according to ICM (30 man ICM differs from STT)

In the end it is a mixture of both. ICM is very important. At the same time there are aspects like the final table bubble that very much play like a MTT. I would recommend watching some videos: Click here to get an overview
