spoke to him and it geniunely seems to be him.
can anyone confirm?

Exactly! That was my point for OP. He's in the US, can't play real money poker. I think playing poker is the last thing he'd do.
I remember the guys at The Micros posting some pics with an account named Ray Bitar. He also participated in some tournament they organized and made a special KO T-Shirt. It's not Ray Bitar though, it's just a troll. Funny one now, very bad one before Stars shipped the deal.

Yeah, why would he say he was Ray Bitar if it actually wasn't? AND remember that his username is also "Ray Bitar".
There is too much adding up here to dispute his authenticity.
Some poker rooms prohibit using a well-known name as a screen name.
Oddly, P* does not have this restriction in the ToS -- nor anywhere else I could find quickly.
Also, the possibility that is a completely DIFFERENT Ray Bitar does exist.
Mind you, the FTP Ray Bitar was himself completely indifferent, but that is beside the point.
i wouldn't have thought anything other than someone else obviously created it for fun, but his location was ireland.
also when i spoekr ot him i was a bit rude regard ftp matter, and he said something along the lines of 'what do you want from me, your getting paid now so whats your problem, let me play in peace under house arrest'
