First MTT Final Table/Win thread

Hi guys! I'm not sure if a similar thread exists. But I really want to share my tournament experience in my first final table ♦ because it's so dramatic. Maybe you guys have experienced it several times but I've been playing only for a month and it feels AWESOME to make the final table. The only MTTs i played so far are freerolls and all these while I thought that there's a significant skill amount needed to make the final table. But today I learnt that luck plays such a huge factor, especially turbo/fast MTTs because the blinds go up so fast, at late stage there's hardly any poker played most ppl are pushing or folding, including me lol. I was playing a 888poker $200 freeroll with rebuys/addons. only top 60 get paid. Halfway through the 2nd hour i was only expecting to cash but I started. I even had to eat dinner before the first break and folded KK once

Anyway this was my first lucky moment:

more than half of my freerolls end here but got lucky and hit two pair (shoved because of OESD though). First obstacle cleared. And halfway during my dinner I just felt like going back to my room to play a few hands. Turned out the be the best decision ♦ I played 2 hands:

I was already on the big blind with only 2 super short stacks remaining so why not do a brunson and give it a shot Big pot and I think I was only one double up away from having a realistic shot at the final table. Then came the 2nd break. First time I survived till the 2nd break hehe. First hand after the break and I got AJo in UTG! I was so close to folding but decided to open with 1/3 of my stack(could be a mistake in my opinion), someone raised me all in and I thought i was going to die. Told myself if I want to make the final table I gotta call:

First AA (i think) in any tournament for me. Came at the right time. So happy. Wished I wasn't the biggest stack at the table though. From now on every time i get a strong but non premium hand I felt I was going to get eliminated. Almost every hand a short stack shoves and I feel it's a mistake not to call with AJ+ or 99+ or even KQ.

Didn't lose here. Thank god no one had J. Best flop turn and river for me. Soon after there was only 10 players left. 10th still had a pretty decent stack. I knew I still have a significant chance of busting out at the last moment. I even tried to set mine pocket threes but lost about a quarter of my stack. I was 9/10 I think. 10th had about the same stack size as me. But suddenly I was in the final table. Someone from the other table shoved and lost. The background changed, there was some lights (Those who made it to a final table at 888 should know) It felt so special for me. I had the shortest stack and pretty soon I was in a difficult situation again. 2nd hand of the final table I think:

It's crazy how i lose quite often with AQ and AJ and pocket pairs in cash games but almost never in this freeroll. Suddenly I'm 3rd. A few hands later I called someone's shove with AJ. Turned out he had AK and I lost. Became 6th I think. And this happened. Shoved KQ vs 99.

Man when the 9 appeared I was like 'this is it, my luck ran out'. I was so excited I even thought I won when i saw the 2nd K, lol. But of course i quickly realised he had full house.
