hi, i am new at the game. i definately don't know what i am doing rught now.

don't worry, i have been playing for a while and so often i don't know what i am doing

the articles, videos and forums are helpful though :)

I learned the basics of poker by playing Hold 'em on the original Xbox, against terrible (artificial intelligence) opponents, that turned out to be remarkably similar to the playing standard on Pokerstars 45 man tournaments at the 25 cent buy-in level. I kid you not.

I recommend that you play poker for play money only to begin with. i.e. Pokerstrategy $100 daily tournaments. That way, you can learn to play poker without risking your own money. Do this for a good three months or so. Don't rush into real money games without first learning the basics and gaining some experience.
