easy fold on the river considering his very low aggression and the fact that it was 3way which greatly diminishes the chances of him bluffing or overplaying a hand that i actually have beat?

I play it the same way until the river.

On the river i understand the call, but the board is so dry that we can exclude draws from his hand, making this more likely to be a value bet than a bluff, so i'm folding.

So...I don't quite like it. I will prolly check flop and prolly fold to a bet or.....if checked to- I value bet turn and river.

As played- I don't like the c/c on the riv. I think you should either shove yourself or c/f as worse is probably not betting it(meaning 9x in his case). But once again, I wouldn't pick the line you did, so I wouldn't be in this spot.
