Nope they will remain as separate platforms with separate player pools.
Though, given the latest information about changes in the rakeback system @ FTP have made most of the people come to your conclusion that "it's going to be shit" but we'll have to wait and see.
people like to say " its going to be shit", and while we can be certain its not half as good as the previous VIP scheme, it puts it at a similar footing as partypoker, easily beating it in many areas including effective rake..
I had the 27% and am kind of sad to see it go to a degree, however the industry as a whole is pretty much clamping down on regulars, and if stars and FTP don't follow suit, they will eventually become reg central.
I'm not saying thats why they changed the VIP structure. I think its pretty obvious this was done to accelerate payment of the money lost to refunding player balances, and also as a means to make sure FTP doesn't cannabalise Stars traffic as much.
