I admit it: I have no idea on how to play heads up.
Although, the question here is simple: Should I have bet normally instead of pushing all-in?

if you dont have any idea you should fold, i assume this is short handed so im not sure and dont push almost 15 blind on J6o. i suggest watch some HU videos or play HUsng to practice and have some idea thats what i did before i have something like 500games in HU

Way too loose shove. With 15bb you should not be playing push or fold except possibly some hands that show profit, but have bad postflop playability. E.g. low offsuit Ax or small pairs. Normally minraise or limping would be default.

If you have no clue of HU then following HU nash equilibrium pusher chart is ok start. Actually from there you can see that in nash J6o could be shoved up to 6.5BB. In reality it can likely be shoved bit deeper as villain probably won't call as wide as nash would assume. When you follow pusher chart villain cannot take advantage of your shoves, but it's likely not optimal play.

@ghaleon: Thanks, I will take a look at the charts!

@ClydePHP: it's a full ring hyper turbo, we were just two players left, but I will definitely follow your advice since I'm finding myself in HU situations when fighting for the first position ;)

Just to point out that caller chart assume that villain is shoving at least with hands that are in pusher chart. That is often not the case so be careful in using caller chart.

Also don't use pusher chart with over 20bb even if there is "20+" marking.

Often best play in HU is to use minraise or limping with over 10bb. Maybe even bit lower than 10bb in some cases. As clyde suggested playing some HUSNG might help.
