Hi
Villain seems to be a new reg (don't have big database, his VPIP was 28, PFR 23, fold to 3b 38% after just ~100 hands sample).
I had 3bet happy guy image since guy between us was very bad.
Do you think 3ple barreling was good idea (why?, why not?)
Thanks

I think it's not that good idea in this spot. He's probably calling down this kind of pots with plenty of hands in his range. And you're basically not representing a thing as that flop/turn never hit your 3-bet range and you don't have an overpair that often.

He might be on a float or a weak hand if he was IP, but after the check on river I can't see him folding that many hands. Your overpot makes this play even more suspicious and he might call of lighter. It looks more like a busted draw or some weak holding that you want to turn into a bluff, not like a valuebet IMO.

Though I must say, that he might need a Q there to call off the river, you have put so much pressure on him and you might do those moves with overpairs, AQ/KQ and stuff. But still, can't see it being too +EV in the long run to barrel 3 streets in a spot like this.

Hello gonepoker,

The problem is that if you have a 3bet happy image then you are almost always getting called down in those spots. I just don't see him that often folding JJ not even TT in those spots. Cause practically everything missed and you have a very wide squeezing range even for 200bb.

What kind of hand would you play yourself this way? Would you still shove KK/AA on the river?

Best Regards.
