What a trappy hand to open UTG!

OTF I would check/fold!

OTT I would be very cautions with that draw, check calling. It may seem a huge draw but you only have 4 outs to the nuts and your flush draws are the worst you can imagine!!!

Typically these low limit zoom tables are quite loose, so with that in mind I don't like the idea of playing this hand, especially out of position. You're always going to end up making either weak flushes, weak straights or weak 2 pair type hands which leads to you not knowing if you're ahead or behind.

And so when out of position, this means missing value bets when you're ahead and putting lots of chips in when you're behind which is a recipe for busto.

Now I have looked at the hand past the flop I can see that is exactly what happened in this case. You got lucky and should avoid playing low cards in these games in future.

I don't see many reasons to bet this flop, all you're doing it bloating the pot with bottom pair and a weak draw.

I also would fold this hand from utg but what would you guys reccomend is a good starting range from utg? With gaps? Is T986 orJT97 any better or stick to broadways and AAxx KKxx from utg?

Lol thanks guys! Yea I fell for the trap of seeing a very pretty hand and went with it

I actually didn't think it was that bad to CBet the flop or even call the turn so I'm very glad I got good responses.

I did download the starting hands chart from pokerstrategy PLO though so I've been following that and have a nice winrate so far.

Thanks for the reply, would you say this is a good range for PLO2/5/10 too? Or would you suggest playing tighter at the micros? Opened my eyes a bit though i've been playing waaay too tight i think

Classical answer, it depends.

Remember that those starting hand charts are only the base for your play. You deviate from that according to your villains, or if you want to do some metagame stuff.

Yes I know but I'm going to try to get my range as close to the chart as possible first just to have a solid starting range stamped into my brain, then I'll deviate and all that.
