Hi,

3-bet size is fine. If you want you can make it 550 or 600 oop, but mostly you want that worse Ax, Kx would call, take pot down pre-flop, sometimes induce 4-bet bluff and against maniac get all-in

If you make it smaller, then there is higher chance someone would play back to you.

I would prefer c-betting flop 540 and 1100 on the turn. I picked up extra outs with gutshot+ likely my A/K might be still live outs+ I have quit good fold equity+ he would likely fold his floats. And best part is if he calls marginal hand like 66 he would likely fold to my river still quite often (although mostly they tend to fold on the turn)

With overpairs I would bet flop and c/rai turn.

best regards,

Hi all,

Size pre is fine!

I like maybe even smaller on the flop to induce. Pairs and flushdraws never fold the flop anyway in a 3bet pot so there's no real need to bet bigger.

I'm not check/folding this turn. He can easily float this board against us and we can get it in quite good. I like check/raising all-in here, even with minimal fold equity. I think we can get it in very good very often against floats w/ overcards etc.

With such shallow stacksizes I'm not turning my hand into a bluff. I think it's too tough to get 66 to fold on this board, and would rather "bluffcatch" by checking turn.

But I think, that a big part of his range is hands like 77-88 and T9s,98s, which don`t fold if I push on the turn.He can slowplay sometimes AA/KK. He might more often push flush draws on the flop.
I don`t think he will float me with hands like KcQc,QsJs... I block KdQd,KdJd(which have backdoor flush draw).
What type of hands do you think, that he is floating in this spot?

AQ/AJ would likely call on the flop (especially if they have Ah). I personally don´t think players would b/f enough times better hands that I should c/rai on the turn. If you want induce bet from floats then c/c and c/c should be perfectly fine against showdown value hand.
Although I might c/rai more with AA I would likely b/c more often with QQ-TT and on that turn also KK, then I think b/f with more fold equity than c/rai should be better option than putting your turnament risk without any reads.

Thing about this spot is that if we c/c I don't actually think our opponent will fire a third barrel too often given how few chips we have behind. We have only 1390 behind in a pot of 4380 and we're basically giving him a free chance to either catch up with us KQ or check if he bricks. I'd rather c/rai and force him to call it off bad. Again, a c/rai is to get value from floats, it's not a bluff! I do not expect any better hands to fold on this board runout!

With regards to floats: I make it less on the flop, so I expect random 2 overcards to float all the time. But even with your sizing I think our opponents will float pretty wide.

What range would you give him when he call pre flop?
I think nearly 77-TT, AQ, AJ, KQ, QJs, JTs, T9s, It can be a bit wider or a bit tighter.
I don`t have FE, so I need 36% equity.
If he have - TT-77,T9s,KhQh,AQo (9 combos AQ and 1 combo flush draw) I have 40.5%.
But I think most of the players will try to see showdown with hands like AQ,AJ and dont bet turn.
Vs - TT-77,KQs,QJs,T9s (5 combos floats and 2 combos flush draws) I have 35% equity.
Maybe it`s close. I am not sure would a random player float enough in this spot. When he is unknown we should take a line, which is the best vs most of the players. If most of the players float this board enough, ch/push turn is better.

I would give random idiots a couple more 2 broadway hands I think, even facing a 3bet. That raises our equity against his range a lot on the turn, and we can manipulate his floating range somewhat by betting slightly smaller on the flop.
