Not many stats on opponent; 16/16 over 32 hands. No other notable hands with this villain. I expect him to 3b the flop with all flush draws, and I feel like c/r is pointless if our plan isn't to get it in. Is this too overplayed?

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

Known players:
[tg]BU$17.01:///////;SB (Hero)$16.27:///////;BB$10.35:///////;MP2$14.18:///////;MP3$10.00:///////;CO$10.15:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is SB with A:d, J:d.
2 folds, CO raises to $0.30, BU folds, Hero calls $0.25, BB folds.

Flop: ($0.7) J:c, 2:c, 5:h (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $0.42, Hero raises to $1.60, CO raises to $3.92, Hero raises to $15.97, CO calls $5.93.

Final Pot: $26.52.

Hi,

I personally don´t like it. Unless he is capable 3-bet bluffing I think you´re getting all-in against sets/overpairs or flushdraws that has mostly one overcard.

If you think AJs is good enough to c/r on drawy flop for value, I think it is good enough to 3-bet pre-flop for value. If I just call 3-bet there should be reason keeping in worse Jx, Ax hands and not really play for stacks unless I hit two pair or nut flushdraw.

leading or c/c flop seems better options to me. If you c/r to 4x and get 3-bet then likely you´re behind and should fold rather than shove

best regards,
