You should have raised it preflop, In the starting hand chart it says to raire with AQs in early position.

This would have made your later streets easier to play. You bet perfectly on the flop and turn, you should also have bet the river with top pair, as there was no reason to think you were beat. Check/Raise would have also been ok if you knew that CO would bet.

There was only a small chance of a flush as they called the bet you made on the flop. and a preflop raise would have gotten rid of any straight draws.

I'm only fairly new too though, so i'll be interested to hear what others have to say.

In fact I raised preflop, some mistake in hand converting, now it is fixed

Raise preflop. I think every chart on PS gives green light to raise AQs on UTG+1. If you don't use chart, start play by it.

Flop and Turn play ir OK. Bet River and call raise! River card isn't scare card to us.

Chazza, i don't see any reason why CO will bet River.

@harley, I'm meaning if CO has raised every hand prior that has been checked to him. I agree as i said though that the bet was a better option.

so, if the hand is fixed, preflop, flop and turn looks good.
on the river i would bet, you cant expect, that the yo is betting here + we want wo trap the players between, if you c and he is betting and you call, maybe a player with a 9 think about folding.
