First of all thank you frzl for reviewing the last hands I posted and for the advice to read the typical postflop play heads up article .

Full Tilt Poker
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $0.25/$0.5
8 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is UTG+1 with J♣ J♥
UTG raises, Hero 3-bets, 6 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: 7♠ 7♦ 9♣ (7.4SB, 2 players)
UTG bets, Hero calls.

Turn: 4♠ (4.7BB, 2 players)
UTG bets, Hero raises, UTG calls.

River: 3♣ (8.7BB, 2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, Hero calls.

Results:
Final pot: 12.7BB

Is this played right? I called the flop according to the strategy and raised the turn because I guessed that he could have two overcards and call with those, but should I bet the river? He probably raises every hand that beats mine and would call only with a 9, and low pocket pairs

hi camicio
you´re welcome :)
as i see it helped you to read the article . call flop/raise turn is good here. you are ahead here like 100% of the time because there aren´t mayn 7s in his UTG raising range + he would have capped QQ+... so the only reasonable hands which beat you right now are 77 and 99 which are very unlikely and i also don´t think that he would donk them ^^.
so i think his most likely holdings here are a pocket like 66 or 88 or maybe even 55 or TT or A9. so call flop/raise turn is best here to get more value.
you should even raise the turn if it is an overcard to your pair like a K or something because it´s unlikely that those cards improved his hand.
call down to a turn 3-bet. you should be ahead often enough.
river is an very easy value bet. the 3 :club: is a total blank and he will still call many worse pockets or 9s which is certainly enough to value bet here.
easy call as well getting almost 12 to 1 with an overpair hu... i think even the note is worth calling here :)
what did he have ? :)
