Hi caramelo8907

I think leading is best in this spot, its gross to check/fold an 8 out draw + BDFD (and you can't rly check-call a potsized bet) but you can comfortably bet out half pot here and fold to a raise, more often you'll get a caller and will still have initiative on the turn in which you can comfortably bet spades on the turn with the intention of calling a small raise and folding to a large raise.

I think overall you just create more opportunities for yourself when you bet the flop. generally when i have a hand that isnt strong enough to check/call and doesnt feel gross bet-folding a lead is going to be a solid play. this hand fits all categories so i would lead.
