Stacks:
UTG ($22.42) 112bb
UTG+1 ($20.38) 102bb
CO ($21.65) 108bb
BTN ($17.50) 88bb
SB ($31.08) 155bb
hero (BB) ($21.66) 108bb

Pre-Flop: ($0.30, 6 players) hero is BB A♠ J♣
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.60, 1 fold, hero calls $0.40

Can't 3B for value and i dominate his stealingrange.

Flop: K♦ 9♦ 7♠ ($1.30, 2 players)
hero checks, BTN bets $0.80, hero raises to $2.40, BTN calls $1.60

Went for a c/r since he has a low wts and because the board looks dangerous.

Turn: A♦ ($6.10, 2 players)
hero checks, BTN checks

He could have called with a fdraw so i went for potcontrol.

River: 8♠ ($6.10, 2 players)
hero bets $2.40, BTN calls $2.40

thin valuebet against Kx

Final Pot: $10.90

Hi Chocular,

Preflop: He folds often to 3-bets and isn't even full stacked. 3-betting will most likely show an immediate profit however we are way ahead of his opening range so calling is an option too. The only downside is the fact that our hand will rarely flop something and we don't have as much semibluff potential as with a suited hand (which means it will be harder to play postflop). So unless we have any special reads (which we should after 1352 hands) we can look at just picking up this pot with a 3-bet.

Postflop: The problem which we were talking about preflop shows up here where we are raising a flop with little equity in it. The less equity we have in the pot the more FE we require. Which cards are we planning to barrel on, if any? I would personally prefer to simply ck/fold there.

As played his range is a 1p type hand or some draws. He is aggro enough that we may expect him to 3-bet certain draws especially combo ones like TJ/QT/QJ so I don't think he has a ton of flushes on that turn. However most of his 1p hands would fold so I actually like your check and bet on the river.
