I call at least the flop it may very well be just a draw. Pair will either be played with a check/raise or play the passive. Of course he will show you a pair often too as passive people like to donk with that as well.
Anyway call the flop and fold the turn to bad cards (overcards, :club:). If he checks you can bet/fold for a free showdown.
