After recently moving to London and turning eighteen i have a big thirst to try some live poker, can anyone recommend a suitable poker room that is available to quite scruffy eighteen year olds that offer 1-1 NL cash games around 5-9 PM . Thanks

Yes, thats a good place for 1/1 NL, i've played there one time when i was in London

Yeah, insanely soft and comfortable to backroll as the swings are not going to be especially high when none of the nits play back at you. You will meet a couple of stronger regs there but not many and nothing special.
The great perk of the GN is that its rake is 5% capped at £6 which is substantially better than all the 1/1 games in London that I am aware of.
Other 1/1 games:
The Vic (Grosvenor, Edgware Rd) - rake is 10% capped at £5.
G casino (Grosvenor, Picadilly Circus - just over the way from GN) - rake as above, 7 handed game.
There are a few more kicking about London, none of them as lucarative as 1/2 at the Empire or Hippodrome, but the GN makes for a great BR building game and a fun atmosphere.

Best place for rake is Birmingham, 1/2 games rake is capped at £2 as long as pot is over £20, it sees a flop, and isn't split pot. Otherwise thereis no rake taken.
