Because the 4 paired on the turn I check behind. It looks like this guy can pull of a check/raise on the river, and I don't want that, so I just check behind. If the turn was the 2:s for example, I would have valuebet the river against a 7 or a 4. He will always bet his 9 again on the river for value, a check shows weakness and you need to valuebet against that.


I like bet/folding here more than checking behind. If he had a bluff he could bluff again. The 9 would often bet again as well. He might try to induce a bluff on your side so I bet this river for value against a 7.

Without the 4 :club: on the turn you should even raise the turn as you are still too often ahead. Just calling down is in this case way too weak.
