i hope ur not seriously asking that question...
maybe u should read the articles again.
anyway, u can never check flop, the flop was great and but u
need to defend ur hand and get the most of it.
shoving was correct move since ur proper bet should be about 3\4 pot , and it ws more than 50% of ur remaining stack thus u should have gone broke.

since you play nl100 no need to follow basic push rules when your stack to pot ratio is below 1:1,5. You want value so bet the flop 7$ push any turn.
