OK here I attempted a freecard raise. I should point out that I'm still at the beginning of my fixed limit career and I've only read a small bit in a couple limit hold'em books about this play. Being silver, I do not have access to this article yet in the strategy section so I understand that I probably shouldn't be using it yet. However, I've read that it's a good play to use heads up when you have a low pair and a couple backdoor draws. Should I be using this play here or should I wait until I've played a lot more fixed limit to start using the freecard raise? (I occasionally use it in late position with a flush draw on the flop)

I tend to calldown after his flop c/r. This is a sb vs bb battle and i tend to see a showdown with these kinda hands. If he is agressive enough he could raise a draw/small pp or a 8x kinda hand wich we still beat.
