how abt checking back this flop to call an up to 1/2 pot on the turn, eval river? unless youre happy to flat/reraise if he ch/raises flop but i dont think so.

I am bet/folding flop, bet/calling would be quite spewy imo.
Against regular seeming guys i do not like to check back and call turn - it is very easy for them to blow me off a hand with two barrels by the river, my range is just verry capped after i check back on this flop (it puts a target on my back against guys able to hand read). Against an unknown I think i prefer checking back better..

^^^ exactly this.

Also regs will be able to c/fold weak pairs on the flop to a cbet like 8x and weak Tx whereas fish cant.
