Hey, Villain 21/18/2.5/13.8/45/63hands

Thought KTs was ok to call vs a pretty aggro reg. He was opening pretty loose from CO/BU over the small sample.

What do you think of checking again on the turn planning to c/r?

Once he checks this flop I think he usually has some sort of made hand,
QQ, Jx so I might get some value with a turn c/r?

OTR I half pot to get value from his second pairs, so I'm not sure if my sizing induced a raise. Can't really think of what he's repping, A8? Just busted draws? Surely he bets J8,K8 & sets OTF, don't think KJ plays this way.

Now that I think about it, I think I'm leaning toward a call. Not many value hands make sense here.

BTN: $23.61 (47.2 bb)
SB: $40.25 (80.5 bb)
Hero (BB): $54.61 (109.2 bb)
UTG: $50 (100 bb)
MP: $54.12 (108.2 bb)
CO: $59.27 (118.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K T
2 folds, CO raises to $1.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $1

Flop: ($3.25) J K 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks

Turn: ($3.25) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $2.50, CO calls $2.50

River: ($8.25) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $4.50, CO raises to $18.50, Hero folds

Results:

Spoiler

$17.25 pot ($0.78 rake)
Final Board: J K 8 3 8
Hero mucked K T and lost (-$8.50 net)
CO mucked and won $16.47 ($7.97 net)

pre flop - KTs is doing well against a wide opening range so we can call it. weaker hands like K8s KTo will probably be a 3betbluff.

flop - our plan here could be to check/call against an aggressive opponent and then bet turns and rivers when he checks back.

turn - i dont really like the idea of check/raising. it looks too strong and we isolate against his stronger range. and besides we dont have 3 streets of value with KTs unless you think he is a disbeliever and willing to call weak hands on turns and rivers because we look like a bluff.

river - hes almost never bluffing here when he makes a size this big. i think our bet size is big enough to discourage bluff raises. this looks like 8X maybe full houses.
